Dr. Herberger was President of the Thunderbird School of Global Management from 1989-2004. Prior to leading Thunderbird, he was Dean of the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Business, University of Southern California. Roy is Trustee Emeritus of the Mayo Clinic Board of Trustees, following serving as a Trustee from 2006 to
2018. He served as a Director on the Board of Directors for Pinnacle West Corporation from 1992 to 2018. From 2007 to 2019, he was a Director on the Board of Directors for Apollo Education Group and was Lead Independent Director from 2015 to 2019. Roy received a PhD in Business Management from the University of Colorado and an M.S. and B.B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Texas- Austin.
